No matter the condition, make, or age of your car we’ll offer an honest, no-obligation valuation and come and collect it absolutely free of charge, in many cases on the same day. Millions of drivers across Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester region trust us to sort out their scrap car, giving them fast cash rather than the hassle, paperwork, and runarounds common with the typical scrap yard.
Whether your car has failed its MOT, been written off, or simply stopped being worth the upkeep, we’ll take it. Our Manchester scrap car service covers:
All you need to do is email us with your registration details, vehicle make, model and description of its condition, we’ll get back with an exact scrap vehicle value in a matter of minutes. Just tell us if it doesn’t drive and we’ll make sure we send out the correct one.
Once you accept our offer, pick a time that works for you. We handle all the paperwork, including the ownership transfer and DVLA notification, so there's nothing left for you to chase up. Collection can usually be arranged for the same day or within 24 hours.
When we collect your car, you get paid immediately, no waiting days for a bank transfer to clear. We then take care of the recycling process at a licensed facility, so your car is disposed of responsibly and in line with UK environmental law.

When you scrap your car in Manchester with us you receive more than simply having unwanted cars swiftly removed. As a licensed waste facility we have acquired permission to scrap all cars we’re asked to take scrap from in accordance with the End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) regulations 2003. Therefore every car collected from you will be officially scrapped using an authorised treatment facility (ATF), which should bring you as much peace of mind as the fact that we will notify the DVLA we’re scrapping your car on your behalf, plus provide a certificate of destruction.
You are able to do so, but if you don't have your logbook available, please ensure you have suitable photo identification, such as a driving licence or a passport. We will then inform the DVLA ourselves in lieu of this. We also recommend that you provide proof of address, perhaps in the form of a bank statement or utility bill.
Yes. The remaining complete months that were left on your road tax will automatically be returned to your bank account by the DVLA once the car has been officially declared scrapped by us. This value is in addition to the agreed scrap value of the vehicle.
In many cases, yes. The scrap value of the car depends primarily on the weight of the materials within it and less so on whether the car can be driven at all. A car with a faulty gearbox or engine may be worth precisely the same as one in excellent condition. Just be honest so that the correct vehicle can be sent to collect it.
Ideally, we'd like you to be there to sign the paperwork to authorise the collection of your car. However, it may be permissible to have a family member or close friend there in your place who can sign. Be sure they are aware that they must also be over the age of 18 to sign.
If you decide that you'd like to keep your private number plate, you need to formally withdraw it from the vehicle before it is collected by us. The number plate cannot be retained unless this procedure has been completed before the disposal of the car.
